Jello swirl cake (strawberry)

1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix

Ingredients called for on box for cake: oil, water, eggs

1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin or use your favorite flavor like lemon, etc (reserve 1/4 cup of batter in a bowl and add in 1/2 tsp gelatin for light swirl or reserve 1/2 cup gelatin and put in 1 tbsp gelatin for a bigger swirl and flavor)

Whipped cream frosting or your favorite frosting

Decoration: shredded coconut, shaved white chocolate, sprinkles, chopped nuts, etc

 

HEAT oven to 350°F.

Use parchment paper for bottom of each pan.

Spray with cooking spray 2 (8- or 9-inch) round pans. Prepare cake batter as directed on package; use the directions above about the dry gelatin mix. Stir until well blended. Spoon the white batter equally into both pans. Add equally the pink batter into each prepared pan; swirl gently with spoon.

BAKE 20-30 min. Cool in pans. Remove when easily able to flip cakes.
